Elementary School – Final Years
Elementary School – Final Years, comprises classes from 6th to 9th grade, in an age group that corresponds to the transition between childhood and adolescence, marked by intense changes related to biological, psychological, social and emotional transformations. In this way, students face challenges of greater complexity, as pointed out by CNE / CEB nº 11/2010, due to the need to appropriate the different logics of organization of knowledge in specific areas.
In this context, Colégio Dimensão seeks to promote holistic teaching, resuming and reframing the learning of Elementary School – Early Years in the context of different areas and strengthening the autonomy of its students, offering support so that they can develop and interact critically with social demands , contribute to the design of their students’ life projects, articulating their desires for the future with the continuity of studies in high school.
Our Specialized Faculty is responsible for supporting and guiding students, through the harmonic development of all their potential in line with educational objectives. And yet, we have an Institutional Psychologist, to provide preventive support and referral to other professionals, when necessary.
Our Assessment Method seeks to promote daily commitment to studies. In this way, we provide a programmed schedule of weekly evaluations, applied on two days of the week. With regard to External Assessments, we apply and encourage the realization of bimonthly simulations that contribute to the preparation and development of the skills required in these types of assessments.

“Escola da Inteligência”
Given the importance of the school in outlining the students’ life project, as subjects with stories and knowledge built on interactions with other people, Colégio Dimensão through the “Escola da Inteligência” Program, designed by Dr. Augusto Cury, implements a culture for the development of emotional intelligence, psychosocial health and the building of healthy relationships within the school community.
Our School Projects
• Solidary Seal Campaign: aims to collect 2-liter “Pets” bottles filled with aluminum seals, for every 140 filled bottles we can exchange for a wheelchair in partnership with CCR SPVIAS. Sensitizing our students to empathy, solidarity actions, as well as the idea of environmental and social sustainability for the future of the Planet. So far, we have managed to collect 4 wheelchairs that have been donated.
• Hunger for books: It is important to awaken and stimulate a taste for reading in our students of the most diverse genres and to promote care and respect with physical material (books, magazines, comic books, refrigerator-place where books are exchanged) that will lead to a natural development in speech, writing and improvement in the interpretation of texts and statements of exercises.
• Pedagogical Visits: Students have the opportunity to visit places that enrich the content seen in the classroom. Through supervised visits to museums, exhibitions, trade fairs, zoos, among others (itineraries to be defined *).
